NeurIPS poster requirements
NeurIPS 2026 runs 6–12 December in Sydney, with satellite venues in Atlanta and Paris, and its poster instructions are not out yet. These are the NeurIPS 2025 rules; the new venues may change board sizes.
- Main-conference boards are 96 in wide × 48 in high (8 × 4 ft). Any poster that fits is accepted.
- A 72 × 48 in poster is as tall as the board, so print it a little smaller; 48 × 36 in fits with space around it.
- Workshop posters are 24 in wide × 36 in high, portrait, and are taped to the wall rather than pinned to a board.
- You can upload a poster image to your paper’s page: PNG, landscape, up to 5120 × 2880 px and 10 MB.
- There is no official NeurIPS poster template; the design is up to you.

What size is a NeurIPS poster?
NeurIPS does not fix a poster size. In 2025 the main-conference boards were 96 in wide by 48 in high, and any poster that fit was accepted; 72 × 48 in (printed slightly smaller) and 48 × 36 in are the usual choices.
What size is a NeurIPS workshop poster?
24 in wide by 36 in high, portrait, taped to the wall. The A1 portrait template (23.4 × 33.1 in) fits inside that with a small margin.
What poster image do I upload to NeurIPS?
An optional PNG in landscape, up to 5120 × 2880 px and 10 MB. Export the 16:9 e-poster template at that resolution.
Is there an official NeurIPS poster template?
No. NeurIPS only sets the board size, so any design works. Most strong posters lead with one key result in large type, a clear method diagram and two or three plots, plus a QR code to the paper and code.
Why is the 72 × 48 in template half size?
PowerPoint cannot make a slide wider than 56 in, so the file is 36 × 24 in with the type sized for the printed poster. Print at 200%; plots exported as vector (PDF or SVG) stay sharp at any size.
Are the NeurIPS templates free?
Yes. The PowerPoint templates are free to download and fully editable. The AI generator uses credits, and new accounts get sign-up credits to try it.
