AACR Annual Meeting poster requirements
These are the AACR Annual Meeting 2026 rules (San Diego, 17–22 April 2026). AACR 2027 is 2–7 April 2027 in Orlando, and its presenter instructions are not out yet.
- Every poster presenter must submit an e-poster, either a PDF (with optional audio) or a slide video.
- The PDF should be slightly larger than a screen, about 24–36 in wide, so viewers can zoom in; it may be up to 50 MB.
- The slide video is an MP4 in 16:9: a title slide plus up to five content slides.
- AACR has not published a current board size. Its own downloadable template is 48 × 36 in, and for 2027 all posters are presented in person.
- You can label your poster “DO NOT POST”, and attendees must not share images of it.

What size is an AACR poster?
AACR has not published a current board size. Its own template is 48 × 36 in landscape, which is the safe choice for the printed poster; check the presenter instructions for your meeting before you print.
What are the AACR e-poster requirements?
In 2026 every poster presenter submitted an e-poster: either a PDF about 24–36 in wide, up to 50 MB, with optional audio, or an MP4 slide video in 16:9.
How do I make the AACR slide video?
Build a title slide and up to five content slides in 16:9, then record your narration and export to MP4 from PowerPoint. The 16:9 e-poster template is laid out for exactly that.
Can I use the same file for the print and the e-poster?
Yes. Design the 48 × 36 in template and export it to PDF; at 36 in wide it already matches AACR’s e-poster guidance. Keep the PDF under 50 MB by compressing large images.
What does “DO NOT POST” mean at AACR?
Presenters may add the label to their poster, and attendees must then not share photos of it on social media. Put it where it is easy to see, such as the title banner.
Are the AACR templates free?
