New Education Discount Workflow

We added a dedicated Education Discount workflow for students and educators who want to start using SciDraw AI at a lower cost.

Key capabilities in this release:

• Student and educator eligibility: Students can apply for a 40% discount, while teachers and educators can apply for a 20% discount
• Dedicated application page: Eligible users can submit their role, real name, institution, contact email, and proof documents from the education discount page
• Admin review flow: Admins can review applications, approve eligible users, reject incomplete submissions, and inspect duplicate-risk signals
• Automatic checkout discount: Once approved, the discount is applied automatically during checkout through the configured Stripe coupon
• One-time first-purchase support: Education discounts are only available before a user's first successful purchase and remain valid for 12 months after approval

This gives students, teachers, and academic staff a clearer path to access SciDraw AI while keeping review and checkout behavior controlled from the admin side.

New Figure Legend Tool

We added a new Figure Legend tool under Image Tools to help researchers draft figure legends directly from uploaded figures.

Key capabilities in this release:

• Legend drafting from figures: Upload a scientific figure and generate a concise, manuscript-style first draft of the legend
• Multilingual output: The generated legend can be written in the current page language or another supported output language
• Copy as text or LaTeX: Copy the result either as plain text or as a LaTeX caption for manuscript workflows
• Broader source support: The tool now accepts PNG, JPG, WebP, TIFF, SVG, and PDF files
• Preview support improvements: PDF and TIFF inputs are normalized for processing, and TIFF preview is now supported inside the tool

This feature is designed as a drafting assistant rather than a final submission substitute. Users should still review methods, abbreviations, sample information, and statistics before submission.

We published three video tutorials on YouTube to help new users get started with SciDraw's core features. Each tutorial is about 2 minutes long with bilingual narration and subtitles.
